"Mysterious Death Strikes upon these Lovers"

"There Ain't No Love in the City of Verona"

In Fair Verona City a couple of lovers seek out their inner emotions for each other. Romeo & Juliet took their mad love to the next level and suffered the tragic consequences. This event took place between Montague st. & Capulet st. approximately at Midnight. The Rival Streets came to peace when the brutal death of these star-crossed lovers was discovered. Romeo was a Montague and Juliet being a Capulet, their love was forbidden. They were secret lovers due to the cause that they weren't allowed to be seen together by anyone. They were separated and decided to run away together. Juliet died and Romeo couldn't accept the truth. He could not live without Juliet's love and therefor committed suicide.

Romeo: He was approximately 16 years old. Romeo was the son of heir Montague and Lady Montague; belonged to the tribe of the Montagues. Romeo is a passionate and affectionate person. He was loved by his relatives and had a wonderful friendship with Benvolio and Mercutio. He was inlove with Juliet and would do anything for her.

Juliet: A beautiful 13 year old girl. Daughter of The Main Capulet and Lady Capulet. She's a a naive girl but when love flies by it conquers it all. Juliet and the nurse both have a strong friendship. The Nurse is like her mother. She is very passionate about love and has no freedom in the Capulet House. She was being force to marry Paris againts her will but was already secretly married to Romeo.

Statements
Lady Capulet:
"This is unbelievable, how could this happen to my daughter Juliet"!!!!!!!! Did anyone know about this? If anyone had a part to this and kept it a secret he/she will suffer the consequences for not being up front with this situation. >:/ She didn't deserve this at all and why did it have to be her! The Montagues were involved in this tragedy! It is all their fault!!"

Benvolio:
"My Beloved cousin is dead. :***( I cant believe this is actually reality! Juliet is the reason for my cousin's death. His life was better without her. Damn those Capulets! They just have to get themselves in everyones life! My 0cousin is now dead and there is nothing i can do about it."

The Prince of Verona has decided after investigating and discovering the truth that the Friar and the Nurse were going to be sent on trial as a punishment because they kept it a secret from the Capulets and the Montagues. They didn't say a word about this relationship between Romeo and Juliet. The Prince has spoken and has said that both Montague and Capulet should come to peace and help each other out as one community.

My Expression on Euthanasia!

After reading the news articles and "Of Mice and Men" my thoughts against euthanasia have dwindled. My perspective for euthanasia has changed because I've indrawn enough information to change my opinion. I thought that no one had a right to be judgemental and decide whether a person should live or die. However, in some situation some people are reluctantly suffering and euthanasia would terminate that problem. I think that it would be the best thing to do for that person because there time has come to an end. People with serious situation are obligated or want to die because they cant escape there problem and enjoy their life. People become irked when they grow tired of not enjoying a good life in the outside world. I think Euthanasia is a good thing when the person is aware of how and when exactly there death arrives. If the patient is unaware of their death then i think that it is unacceptable and that they should rigorously respect that patients decision. I would be bewildered by any person who would choose to death over life but i would also understand why they made that decision. Many people have vicissitudes in there life and choose to be (unplugged ) because they have no contact with family and friends.I earnestly think that euthanasia is a legitimate way to end a persons life. To conclude, my conviction for this controversial topic "euthanasia" i would be for it because people would die peacefully instead of suffering their death.

Mercy killah!

1. Reflecting on Of Mice and Men.

a.Explain George's perspective for what he did to Lennie.
b. Do you think that was the best thing to do for Lennie?
The reason for what George did to Lennie was to prevent him from other people to killl him. From George's perspective i think it was the best thing to do because Lennie kept on getting into trouble and causing more problems!
I think that was the best thing for George to do because Geroge didnt want Lennie to suffer a more cruel death because Curley wanted to "shoot his guts out".

2. Father in Italy Accused of Murder
a. Using a "quote" to support your response, explain the father's reasons for what he did.
b. Using a "quote" to support your response, explain if that was the best thing to do for the daughter.
c. Do you agree or disagree with what the father did? Why?

"Late last year, 67-year-old Beppino Englaro, won an intense 10-year legal battle to allow his daughter's feeding tubes to be removed, saying that was her wish. The court accepted that before the accident, his daughter had expressed a preference for dying over being kept alive artificially." The father was aware that her daughter chose death over life.

"Italy does not allow euthanasia. Patients do have a right to refuse treatment, but they are barred from giving advance directions on what treatment they wish to receive if they become unconscious". I think that was the best thing to do for her daughter because her daughter made that decision. The father knew that her daughter was sufferung not living a good life. The patients have a right to choose they want to live or not! Her daughter no longer wanted to live in a bad situation so she chose to die!

I agree with this incident because she no longer wanted to be a part of this world and he was just making that reality.

3. Man Kills Family after Losing his Job
a. Imagine and list things that might have been going through the father's mind as he contemplated his "mercy" killing. (In the article, the father's suicide note gives specific evidence of why he did what he did. Elaborate on it.) Specifically, what could he have been negative or paranoid about?
b. Unfortunately, with America's failing economy, many professionals are losing their jobs. While many do not resort to something as extreme as the man in the article, it does cause stress within families. What are some ways that parents can support children (to succeed in life) that do NOT require money?

- I think some thoughts that might have been going throught the fathers mind is that how is he going to be able to supprot his family!
- He was paranoid because he had lost his job and was thinking how will he survive in this world without a job and more importantly that would also affect his loved ones.
- I think he was negative about this conflict because at the time we was confused and wasn't positive about making the right decision.

4. After reading Of Mice and Men and the two articles, what is your stance on euthanasia? Is "mercy" killing a legitimate way to ending someone's life? List any exceptions, if you have any. (This response should be 7-10 sentences). After posting this blog, comment on 3 other classmate's blogs. In your comments, you will explain why you agree or disagree with their response to #4. (Your comments will be graded as well - they should be 3-5 THOUGHTFUL and academic sentences that include specific details. Any inappropriate comments will be deleted immediately and the culprit will be given a zero on their assignment)

1a. This is person is "Mike Vitar"who was the main character in the movie Sandlot. I think this person would best play as Ralph because he was an inspiration. He was the leader of the group as Ralph was in L.O.T.F. All the kids looked up to Mike Vitar as a motivation to work hard. Mike Vitar also sent a good example to the rest of the kids and so for they looked up to him.

2a. This is "Chauncy Leopardi" who also was a character in the movies sandlot. This person best suits as jack because he always had his own ideas. Even though he wasn't the leader of his group he wanted to express his idea but instead just did what he was told to do. He also becomes insane similar to Jack.

3a. This person is "Patrick Renna". I think this person would best play as piggy be cause they have similar appearances. He also has stand up for himself when he needs to. Most of his friends would shut him up when he was talking as they did to piggy in L.O.T.F. He never got mad easily and repected his friends.

4a. This is "Tom Guiry" who was also a main character in thhe movie sandlot. I think this person would play as simon because his personality is similiar to simon's. He is mostly quiet and usually listens to what people tell him. Like simon he also wanders off on his own often. He also got picked on by the rest of the gang as simon did in the movie.

5a.This character is "Cartman" from the show south park. He is much like Roger because he doesnt care about anyone but himself. He would kill a person and not really care just like roger did to piggy. Catman is also like Roger because hes cruel.

6a. The Beast!

1.This city looks very calm and it looks like any regular city. There are buildings that look like business buildings. It looks like the people are having a typical day. It makes me feel relaxed because it looks peace full and there isn't a lot going on.

2. The picture shows that the Hiroshima gas company was destroyed. there are buildings in the back that are still remain because they were not demolished. In the center there was the Honkawa Elementary School that was also destroyed wit the gas company. This makes me feel sad because people might of died when this happened.

3. This picture is of a person that was killed/burned by the atomic bomb. This picture makes me feel depressed because many Innocent people dide durinf the atomic bomb. This happened to many people who wee living their normal lives.

4. The drawing show that there are people who are dead on the ground who dide because of the atomic bomb. There are people who are suffering and left without anything. This makes me feel sad because some people didn't care about other people that were hurt and didn't want to help them.

2nd assignment: Views on Abortion

1. What is your stance on abortion? Give three reasons why (this is your own thoughts). Explain clearly and use a lot of detail. - 5 points

I think my stance on abortion would be pro-choice. The reason I chose pro-choice is because its a women's decision. Most people aren't ready for the future and aren't prepared , so they decide to have an abortoin. In fact its a women's body and who are we to judge on what they should do with their body. Abortion can prevent a person form loosing their jobs or education, so abortion would be best off.

2. Copy/paste evidence that supports that supports your views. Make sure you use quotation marks (" ") because these are NOT your words. - 3 points

"They believe that in the end, it is up to the pregnant woman herself to determine whether to terminate or to continue with her pregnancy.
But if a pregnant woman is to have a real choice about the future of her pregnancy (i.e. not to be forced into an abortion because of poverty, or social pressure etc.), certain legal, economic and social measures must to be available to support the woman, whatever decision she takes regarding the pregnancy."

3. Explain the quote you chose for number 2 in your own words. You can explain it in the following ways: relate it to something that happened in your life or someone else's, explain why you agree with the statement, explain it to the reader with more detail in case the reader might not understand the quote, or give the reader a hypothetical situation in which the quote plays out. (Whichever why you decide to explain your quote, you should have at least 3 sentences to be thorough) - 6 points

Oh boy, I chose that quote from number two because I really think that a women should have the right to have a decision. If a women is to choose not to have an abortion then that would be her decision. If she chooses to have an abortion because she wont be able to maintain that living creature. I think she should have the right and it should be legal.

"A pregnancy to a woman is perhaps one of the most determinative aspects of her life. It disrupts her body. It disrupts her education. It disrupts her employment. And it often disrupts her entire family life."

This quote above says that abortion recently disrupts a women's life. I think that women should have a chance or oppurtinity to do what best for them. Abortion can be a brutal thing to occur but in some cases a women might need an abortion because she might risk her job, education, family life etc.
